Default I love my 94 EG8.........

I mean it really......My Honda is just the S*#T....

I've had Four Civic's and this is the best.....So many parts and looks soooo clean....

But this was just all realized again because of my freind....

He is in IRAQ right now.....In the 3rd Infitry...He has been there since April and will not come back....probebly until next April......He calls me all each week on the satalite phone he has....

He wanted specs on a lot of cars....And knowing I'm a machanic I could get the stats.......He's going to buy a car with cash as soon as he gets back........

Now for the Mustang.....(Sorry for you Ford fanatics)

A Ford Mustang Cobra....1999
Curb Weight 3430 lbs
HP 320 Torque 317

Now those Number suck....

Theres much more if you want to know the specs ask.....

But.....I want him to consider a fully built EG civic....

We are the easyiest to swap any engine into....Really if you've done a swap into an EK....You know what I mean....

But he could get a non salvage title for about 3-4 thousand...In good condition...Stirp it..To two front seats.....(sparco Speed or sprint)...Under 2000 Lbs and over 220 HP.....Now thats nice...

And put a fully built b18c1 or just a stock H22 and get better #'s than the Cobra...(Maybe)...Any engine I put in I build a little......(but then what if you Turbo or supercharge).....You will really like those #'s.....But it ain't a daily driver.....

I'll stop rabling.....

LAtes..

PS: I can't spell worth crap.......

since you seem to know specs fairly well, what is the chassis code for a 95 ex coupe? I know its probably EG but isnt there a number that should follow it too?

I'm really happy with my sedan too.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking in your post but if it comes down to what your friend wants to get, it really has to do with the way he feels in each car. The Mustang Cobra will feel pretty different from a lightweight Civic with a swap. It all becomes personal preference at some point no matter how the numbers work out... But that's just my opinion.

woot! Sedans rule. I'd love to do a hatch/H22 hybrid sometime, but I'm very content with my sedan.

At work I have a window just to the right of my desk and I park my car right outside of it so I can just turn to my right and see my car at any time.

You should add this to the "4 doors - MOUNT UP" thread. h:

And the 5th gen Civic coupe is an EJ1 (I think)

Someone should add that to a "Specs" section on the home page. This question comes up pretty often. h:

Granted, I do understand your arguement.....however, if your friend did get that mustang cobra, and put a little money into it, there would be few civics that could touch it. If he likes mustangs, has he looked into a 5.0? You can pick one up for about $4000 or so, and if you put another $1200 or so into it, you'll be running 12s all day.

Thats what I told him.....My brother has a 89 5.0 right now.....

If he were to find one with a good frame and not much damage I could help build it into a real powerhouse.....

I just can't let him spend like $30,000 on a new Cobra....He'll have nothing left to do anything to it.......

(PS: all the stats have been already posted....) thanks SnowSerpent
