Default 94 Civic Turbo

I have a 95 honda civic with 1.5L 8 valve. I was gonna put a Garrett T3 turbo on it. What's involved in the installation, and what do i need besides the turbo? Is it a good turbo, and will it take me a good distance from 70 hp? An engine swap is not an option. My goal is to get 150hp out of a D15B8 engine. And i am determined to do it. The only problem i forsee, is i need some more money. I only have $3000. Thanks for the feed back.

I know you don't want to hear it... but you've got $3000, plenty enough for an engine swap to a b series engine with the HP your looking for. And it will be more reliable.

$300 on a D15 is crazy or stupid, depending how you look at it.:tfg: :slap:

go to www.importparts.com and get the Drag III kit. T3's are okay, they're just so small that they kind of suck in the higher rev range.

you want to put a turbo on a 8v 70hp CX engine?

I will personally shoot you if you do it and have $3000 to spend.:fawk:

at least get a d16z6 or something if your set on getting a turbo. You can rebuild the d16z6 and get an intercooled T3 setup for $3000.

Or you can just get a b18c1 swap for about $300 more.

I got a b16a2 w/170hp stock (no now though) w/ a factory LSD and shipped to my door step for $2925 (this motor stock will waste that 8v 1.5 w/ turbo). And also you have to think about installation costs of the turbo. I have spent a few grand on extra motor parts and I hit 151 mph and it was still pulling (some a** hole pulled out infront of me) on 95 last friday and smoked my neighbor who has an 88 s-10 pickup with a 350ci v-8 on a 100-hp shot of NOS, and can take those mustang gt's w/o too much difficulty.

there is no way your going to get 150whp with that...a turboed d16 pushes somewhere around 140 at the wheels.
