Default Brake pad life?

About how long do stock pads usually last you all on 2001 and newer civic ex's? I've got 44K on mine and am wondering if I should pop the wheels off anytime soon and have a look at them? I think I got 60K out of my stock pads on my old 98 prelude.

can't really say...it depends on how much you break, like driving behaviors...pretty self explanitory ...but the best way to check is just look at the brakes..pop out the wheel or when you jack up your car at an oil changing place ...but when it squeals get it replaced..my last advice to you about brake pads is that don't go for the cheap ones..get the stock ones or some semi-mettalic ones..they won't ruin your rims with all those brake dusts..

Default .

I don't drive the car hard at all since I have a bike to play with. I'll be changing the oil tonight so I'll take a look then.
