ok after me and my buddy damnudersteer install some HIDs in my friends 2000 celica, we concluded that we want some. heres the deal, i have oem jdm stanleys which uses the infamous h4h size bulb only found overseas, and he will get some ctrs for his ek soon. (ctrs use h4h or h4?)

we was thinkin, what if we get a HID kit, and cut the h4h ring off and put it on the h4 hid bulb thus convertin it to h4h? we r open to other suggestions.

btw, the HID kits my buddy got were from www.misterjung.com , very good stuff. :thumbup: output was great and install was straight forward.

i read somewhere that if the filament of the bulb isnt at the specified focal point of the housing, you will get ambient light, instead of a beam. My friend tried doing the same thing in his M3, where he tried fitting h1 hids from an audi to an h3 specified housing.

nevermind above post, diameter of h4h and h4 bulbs differ, so unless u wanna cut up stanleys, dont do it

JDM CTR uses H4.


only the EG and DA uses the H4h.

ah, very nice. thanks for the info, now he can get his HIDs, so now all my friends will have HIDs and i wont.. is there even an h4h HID setup out there? i know a guy that hack up his stanleys for the h4 HIDs. im kewl with that.
