Any of ya folks put a aftermarket sunroof into your 5g civic? My car don't have one and was thinkin of it.

 

My old car came with one. I used to have a dx coupe... and I guess the guy had it instaled. I'm assuming it was aftermarket since the controls were up above. The plastic cover with the controls fell off once while driving That was the only problem I had with it. Had these cool shade things to block out the sun.

 

only problem with aftermarket sunroofs/moonroofs is if they are not done right or not good they will leak after time.

 

i used to have one. it wasn't powered. i never had a problem with it leaking.

 

i dont have one on a 5th gen,..but i do have one on one of my 6th gen,...no leaks yet,..been around 2 and a half years since i installed it

 

i know someone who did it to their car (don't know the details) but it came out really good.

i think someone on here did it too, do a search. as long as its done right, its good

 

i did my own sunroof install :rick: ,...fuji had one installed on his car
