of course not. as soon i reach that temp, i went home and parked it for the remainin days that were 100+ degrees days. i wanted to show kay that the gauge works fine and very accurate.

I don't know about you, but running 240 degrees would bother me to the point of shutting it down and letting it cool a while. That's about 55 degrees over normal, not healthy for the engine.
