Default Carbon Fiber?

I know that Spoon is supposed to produce the best CF and I do plan on putting a front lip, stock style rear spoiler and trunk lid (does Spoon make those?), but I want to use vented fenders and a vented hood. Who makes the best CF? I've been told that some companies make cheap parts that break when any amount of pressure is applied (read as: when people lean against the car). If I'm gonna fork over cash for CF I want it to be durable. Any help would be great.

Why the hell do you need vented fenders on a civic?

Default Vented Fenders

I come from old school cast-iron V-8's where you start with 300 whp and work your way up. With those things, more airflow is better and there is no such thing as over kill when it comes to engine cooling. I'm just bringing that attitude to my new car, and I do think that Spoon makes a stock style CF spoiler (I'll check though).

Still i cant think of any v8's with vented fenders. Is your dx a hatch or a coupe? Spoon makes a cf spoiler for hatch's. Its cheaper to get a copy like mine though. Try tornactive.com, we HAN members get 5% off.

Cool, I'll check it out. Every Corvette made has vented fenders on the side and the V-8 M3's that BMW made a few years ago had them. In '69 Chevrolet made a Corvette called the Grand Sport with 590 WHP and an aluminum block, and in testing it's 1/4 mile time, a cowl induction hood alone brought it down by 0.7 secs! A cool motor is a happy motor!

vented fenders dont work IMO, especially hondas air going through the front doesnt go out the fenders from what i can see.

Nearly every car made gets air from the front. If the air comes in, it needs a place to exit. The less it is bottle necked inside the engine bay, the more cool air the motor is exposed to. CF fenders in general aren't overkill as far as I'm concerned. Civics have steel fenders to begin with, and losing corner weight is a good thing. (Besides, my car is used and the previous owner dented one of them and it has some rust now)
