Hey it's your money, but spoon wheels vs. GSR wheels? That's like deciding between a ZO6 and a civic. honestly, I have fiberglass fenders on my CRX with the vents (came on the car) and they don't seem lighter than the stock ones but they are better from a ding standpoint and seem much stronger than the OEM ones. Honda fenders are steel? The point about the vents is accurate so I think a VIS vented hood like this one would cool much better.

I like both wheels. If I can come across really nice GSR wheels at a good price and am able to fit some H caps in them then I will go that route to save some cash. If not, Spoon I go. I would take a Z06 any day over a Civic btw. Again, just let me so what I want with my car man. Both wheel sets look good to me. I don't tell you how to build your car, I'm just looking for some ideas or a bit of help here, not critisizm (sp... tired).

if you're really worried about weight, why would add p/s?you'd add more weight by adding p/s then you would remove by getting cf fenders. and if you do get cf fenders, i would definitely paint them.

This car is a driver. That is why. Add it where it is welcome, remove it where unneeded. I'm not building a full race car, it's just a Civic... Why does anybody else care what I replace with CF?

I agree with the others. Like you said, its not a race car, so the fenders arent that critical. That's why not too many manufacturers make CF fenders. Or maybe you just want to get the Z3 look? who knows...

The only CF body parts Spoon makes are hood and lip. If you're so worried about air flow, should look into Spoon's intake parts instead, thats what they're good at. Their wheels are also very light and strong, but for that price, you have many other options that look better.

Still confused as to why anybody cares... I know what I want. If you read above, I was told that the air would never get to the fenders. I didn't know that before as I'm a new owner. I've changed my mind on the vented fenders, but if changing to CF fenders does no harm and does lose a few lbs, why does it matter to y'all? Understand, I'm selling my 'Vette. I've gotta have some joy to my life right?

do you really expect to post up on here and not get other people's opinions?

I expect some opinions. I don't expect to be told what I should do with my own car. I don't tell others what to do with theirs. If someone wants to know what shocks to use, then it's cool to suggest shocks. If someone askes "should i get a CF hood?" tell them what you think. If someone says, "I want to get a carbon fiber hood, what brand do you suggest?" I don't expect the answer to be "You don't need one, don't bother cause it's too much money." Obviously if that person is asking what hood to use, they want a cf hood right? My point is that I know what I'm getting myself into and I ask ?'s to educate myself, not to be told what is best for my car.
