$1,500... and the reason why i want the swap is to feel that strong pull when the
VTEC kicks in at a certain RPM... my question is... is there anything I can do
to make my SOHC VTEC pull like a DOHC without having to do the motor
swap? Help would be appreciated.. Thanks alot!

turbo or supercharger at stock psi will get you around the b16 area in terms of horsepower.

Sorry man... VTEC isn't all that. It makes noise, but it doesn't have this OUTRAGEOUS pull like you described.

You'd need to do some extensive head work and either raise your compression or run boost. You could get that 'pull' out of N2O, but it's temporary and can have some negative consiquences.

hih

Negative consequences can occur from boost and high compression as well. I'm sure you already knew that but I wanted to make it clear for anyone who doesn't

b16s are not in the same ballpark as i am in when it comes down to racing, im pushing 160+ to the wheels, they are pushing 160 to the crank. big difference...they cant hang.

You're absolutely right, but I've seen entire garages in shambles cause idiots hooked the bottle warmers up wrong.

in straight line??? i beg to differ.. i KNOW that a STOCK ex is NOT fast.. but niether is an si.. i know that on paper a STOCK SI should RAPE a stock EX.. but i also know what i have expierienced and well.. im less than impressed with the stock b16a, but then again you have a "spoon b16b" so of course you would be a whole nother story... oh no wait... aren't you the guy that doesn't have a b16b or spoon internals??
