any good cold air intakes for 94 civic?
Hi folks, fabs here, was looking on ebay for a cold air intake for my 94 civic 1.5L lx. First off, does a cold air intake really make a difference? ( especially on a 1.5L?) Does it make the motor more torquey? or is it just all noise?
Secondly, price-wise, there were some models that were quite cheap, like 34.00!!! is this a decent price for the product?
Are there any good reputable comp. that offer good intakes that you could recommend? please let me know..thanks

An intake will help the breathability of your engine allowing it to function better. IMO Its def a good thing to have. As for hp your not going to gain much homy. 2-5 hp roughly depending on a few variables I went from a crummy ractive SRI to an ICEMAN CAI and I did notice a difference in how the car accelerates.....thats prob due to the fact that the ractive sucked....hehe...but I'm happy with my CAI
suggestions:
iceman or AEM CAI IMO

165EJ1...ya man thats how I felt to. It was ok at the start but I noticed that I bogged alot after awhile. Has to be due to the filter that comes with it!!

not just the filter, but the intake sat right next to the motor and all that heat. nothing but hot air gets sucked in.......that heat shield thing is bullshit, it gets hot after 30.minutes.....CAI is best when you are no where near water.
