Boost it, i'm spanking n/a GSR swapped coupes/hatches all day long on 8 psi and i have more room for improvement. Not to mention boost gives you something called TORQUE.

B18C n/a=15.3 in your sig

boosted SINGLE CAM 14.1 in my sig
Yeah man.. my bro was thinkin about doin that for his 7th gen LX. Anyways, I wanted to know what your internal engine mods were... I forget if you built it at all. Let me know what you're running so that I get an idea of what I should look forward to doing. By the way.. we used to talk online on AIM once in a while.. you tried to convince me to go that way too SOHC turbo on my DX motor.. anyways.. good hearin from you again.

i'm not too familiar with the 7th gens but i know the LX motors are weaker. Most the 6 gen lx guys that want to turbo do the EX head swap first. I have stock internals pushing 8 psi tuned. I'm not sure if the 7th gens even have kits out yet but i'd keep it around 6 psi especially if it's an auto.

Yeah that was our plan with my brother's 7th gen.. swap to a vtec head and then turbo.. but your motor runs fine with the stock internals@8psi tuned... you never have any problems? W#hat type of maintenance do you have to do for your setup and how often?

again.. with a turbo motor... what type of extra maintenance do I have to look forward to doing along with how often.. I hear at least every 3-6 months the turbo must be tuned.. fill me in on the maintenance mysteries.

The only special maintenance i did with my old car was change the oil EVERY 3000 miles. Other than that i didnt do anything special.

Also here's a link to a guys site who has a turbo 7th gen. The work was done by jotech here in Texas. http://www.speedingtexan.com/

yeah my motor runs fine, it's tuned with a good a/f ratio and there's really no extra maintenance. Just change the oil a little more frequently i'd say. You need to put a lot of miles on the turbo before you get any shaftplay or anything like that, besides mine is ball bearing

so I guess get an air/fuel guage just to monitor and make sure shit is tuned properly? and if it starts running leaner or richer, go get it tuned, along with change oil every 3k miles?

Let's say you take a lonnnnnnng trip down to NOPI in ATL, GA from Baltimore, MD... those guys on the tour go anywhere from 65-90mph constantly... is it still safe to push turbos like that on a car that doesn't have a built engine internally?

As long as the engine has sufficent cooling and fuel it will be just like any other honda, but with torque.
