Nice to hear that you still have your car. That Club cover you're talking about sounds like a good idea. I think I'll look into that.

I do have a lot of the other security devices some of you have mentioned, but of course I won't disclose that The list goes on, but I don't want to be overconfident.

To be honest with you, these thieves knew exactly what I had and they didn't hesitate or even try to look through to see what else I had. They didn't touch anything else. I had valuable items laying inside the car, out of open site but once in the car, you know they are there.

I did happen to leave my EZ-Pass (To those unfamiliar, its a tag that is pre-paid that lets you drive through toll booths to pay) that was on my dash, they didn't touch it. My radio-face plate was left on, they didn't touch it. I had seat covers on, they didn't remove the covers to see what they were, they knew what they were getting into.

I think it was the Cover and Club combined that helped. I will post pictures of the devices. The Cover is made from the same people that make the Club, but the funny thing is that its not advertised on their site or anywhere else on the net. It basically is an oversized "dish" that goes over the entire steering wheel and covers the edges to prevent sawing of the wheel.
It was discontinued on and off. My friends got them a few years ago and I tried to locate them but to no avail until last summer. The auto-parts store here randomly has them in stock, I checked yesterday, they have about 4-5 left. To my understanding, they are pretty hard to come by.

If any member here would like one, I would not mind one bit picking one up and sending it over if you cover all costs. I won't charge a dime more. I think the retail price was either $19.99, $24.99 or $29.99, I forget.

Yeah, I've been looking for those things for years on and off the net. I know there's a Club Shield and a Club Cover or something like that. One folds into a pie shape and the other is the whole dish (which sounds like what you have). I'm going to keep searching but I may just have to take you up on your offer if I have no luck finding it.

Yes Agent, it's the whole dish, that folding pie thing doesn't work for steering wheel protection, that's just for people steeling air bags.

So far I have about 3 people interested, so I hope the store didn't sell out.

 

They couldent jack it (aka "steal" it) and came by a few weeks later and gave me racing stripes (aka "key marks").
