I'm on my way to the drag strip and its my first time at this one, so I have no idea where I'm going...so I'm following one of my friends there and the speed limit is 55, I'm going 45 because the guy is hailing a drag car in the trailer and is going slow. And out of no where a cop comes up and tells me to pull over. He tells me that I'm following that trailer too close, and I tell him what the deal is and that he told me I can follow him, he says that doesnt matter. So he goes in his car and sits there for like 5min and gets out and goes to his back seat and gets a blue book, and after about 20min waiting for him to give me a ticket, he finally comes out and hands me a ticket and says I have to go to court and he's not sure about the court costs and stuff. I'm like ok....he then asks out of no where if I have drugs or any weapons in my car...I then look at him and say no and he asks again if I'm sure, I'm like yea im sure, you wanna check, he of course says no, thats ok. I'm thinking that book he was looking at was for finding a logical reason for pulling me over...he had to check the "other box" on the ticket because there was nothing on following someone too closely, I wasn't following him like bumper to bumper I was like about 10 feet away from him... But I hope I win the court case...because that ticket is seriously BS.

its a 2 second rule...

focus on a landmark and when the car in front of you passes it, you should be able to count to 2 before you pass it.

 

yeah plus with a trailer you've gotta be a little further back so they can see you in their mirrors. people in Louisiana tail gate like a mofo.

trust me though if your car looks a little tricked and you dress a certain way they're just making excuses to look for drugs. happened to me to many times.

I'm not black but I'm from a foreign country, Iran. I'm going to tell the judge that the asked where I was from because there is no point for him to ask me where im from. I dunno how the court thing works though...do i just go there and tell the judge my story? Am I allowed to bring witnesses, or do I just tell them that he was with me when it happened? Because my friend was in the car with me and so he knows what happened too. And also the driver of the trailer said he could see me in his side mirrors which means that I couldn't have been that close. So do I tell the judge this or do those people have to come in and say that themselves? The cop also said I dont have to be there at a certain time I just gotta show up he says and I doubled checked under where it says time on my ticket and it justs says "Admin"

btw the exact thing the cop put on my ticket was "by following another vechicle closely than resonable and prudent without due regard for the speed of such vehicles and the traffic upon."

thats me he was with that night when he pulled us over we were thinking what could he possibly get us for then he told us we were following to close to the trailer that was a bunch of bs the cop was a punk like 15s civic said we sat there for like 30 mins and we had no idea how to get there then we got lost and it took us 3 hours to get to the drag strip then we finally got there all that trouble when he just could have ask us to stay farther back :wtf: peace
