run a search,...a b20 with a vtec head does put down pretty good numbers and the b20 has nice torque but reliability is an issue,...i have a non vtec b20 but im gonna boost mine,..im not gonna go the vtec route because i went that way with my LS motor already

Search for CRVTEC or LSvtec, you'll find some info.

The engine acts like a B18A/B "LS" motor with a little more torque. It is the same engine with a slightly bigger bore.

A B20 with a P72 "GS-R" head acts like a B18C1 "GS-R" engine but with more torque, once again due to the higher displacement. Do not even consider this hybrid until you do a LOT of research and have a lot of cash to pour into building it., because an improperly built "CRVTEC" hybrid will do all sorts of bad things if you don't build it right (valve/piston contact, rod breakage, oil leakage, etc)

It is very practical for a 5G hatch, it has been done many, many times before.
