Default EG6 rear lip <> EG9 rear lip ??

So ya... I ordered an ABS CTR rear lip from a dude on ebay. The lip was on his coupe and I've asked the question time and time again to see whether the rear bumpers on a coupe and a sedan are the same.

Well, I got the lip last night and tried mounting it... there are gaps between the lip and the bumper near where it mounts on the corners. Also, it totally won't wrap all the way around the bottom of the bumper so I can't even get it to mount completely.

My front lip was snug, but doable... this one is like an inch too short... could it be that the coupe and sedan bumpers are different? How can they advertise that the lips will fit 2/4 drs pretty much everywhere?

I'm confused.

Sedan and Coupe Rears ARE the same.

The part number for the coupe rear is 107788
The part number for the sedan rear is 107788
The part number for the hatchback rear is 106190

The Type R lip's aren't made perfect, that is why the fitment is off... You need to play around with it.

Yup the bumpers are the same......

Some guy bought a wings west rear lip from me and complained about fitment and left negative feedback:madfawk:

Even though they are the Same Frickin Bumper......

Some people just don't have a clue

But I'm glad you figured it out without much trouble...

I still need to post pics.. but I have to have my muffler hangers bent. The lip rubs on my N1 so I took it off. I don't want it melting. :nervous:

Getting it fixed tomorrow morning.

I'll post pics then.

Josh, careful with the ABS rear lip, my buddy melted his with his exhasut so if the muffler is close, watch out.

Also careful with the front one, I had an abs lip and in the snow in the winter it fought a curb and lost.

Yeah ABS cracks pretty easy. They almost seem disposable to me
