Can you swap throttle bodies from a manual car into an automatic car and vice versa? I know that intake manifolds are designed for one or the other, is it he same for throttle bodies?

As long as the engine code is the same (ie: d16y8) EVERYTHING on the engine is interchangeable. Whoever told you the intake manifolds are not, is a goober. And if you tried it and it didn't work, you are a goober.

"Lisa said I M P too..."
"Shut up Pee"

I heard that the manual one has an extra sensor and the auto doesn't have anyplace to transfer that sensor over. :dunno:

:slap: to you all!!!!
the intake manifold and throttle bodies are different for the d16y8
you guys are giving bad info!!
the IACV for auto is on the throttle body
the IACV for a 5 speed is on the back of an intake manifold.
plus i forget which one, but one is a 2 wire hookup and one is a 3 wire hookup.
:slap: again

Sorry! I'm in 5th gen world. I've worked on 2 cars with d16y8's and they were both 5 speeds. Now, ask me a 5th gen question! I got those covered!
