The whole point of modding a single cam motor is because it's inexpensive. Throwing on a $300 DC Sports header is quite useless and defeats the whole purpose of the SOHC.

If I were to get anything aftermarket, then I'd get something cheap such as Chikara. It won't last long but what'd you expect? It's not like the DC Sports header gives you neck snapping power anyways. The Chikara will save you money.

You can also use a 96-00 EX factory exhaust manifold since it is slightly larger than all the USDM 92-95 ones. It's also cheap, if not free. I'm not saying it does much but neither does an aftermarket one.

^ Strictly speaking of lightly modded single cams, Bisimoto's car doesn't count.

the only reason i got my dc was because when i was doing my swap to my b16, they gave me the wrong exhaust manifold.

Ok, I tried a Pacesetter header and I felt a difference. I know Pacesetter is cheap, the paint burns off and it doesn't fit all that well, but it's decent. Cost me maybe $180, but I've seen it for a lot less online. It gave me more torque which it is designed to do and that's why I bought it. I faired well against a certain car but felt I had no top end compaired to him. I don't worry about top end as much since torque makes driving fun around town.

I know I should do a B series swap. EVERYONE should do a swap!!! I've seen it read here a thousand times. That doesn't help me much now. When this engine eventually goes... I'm going to swap... but to me.. unless you live at home and work a lot... it's a lotta money.

So, guess the consensus is that it's pointless. That's what I needed to know. Thanks everyone.

It's not pointless. Get the Chikara header. There's also another one out there that makes lots of power, but I forgot what it was.

Powercore header from Landspeed Racing, but that thing is about $350-400

i'm pretty sure this produces more power than the other companies and its stainless so it won't crack at the welds like ceramic tends to do.

Hmm... ok.. so it's not pointless. Now I'm a bit confused on what to get.... Ceramic or stainless? Both have their pros and cons... I think I like the sounds of that DC 4-2-1. What do you guys think? Overall that is... keeping it in the 400.00 range.
