i used to have re950s grippy as hell tires with a long tread life. after 2 years, the tread was still around 85%, of course with regular tire rotations. but i needed to replace 2 of them cause i hit a huge pothole on my 2 left tires and then they bubbled but 2 new ones would have run me 135 bux a tire, so instead of buying new tires i traded my 16" rims for some 15" ones with brand new tires, only thing that sucks is that their nitto 450s. big difference in grip from 950s. nittos are ass.

anyway if you're looking for some affordable tires try going with the firehawks i used to run those and they have very good grip and road handling, excellent wear, too.

Kuhmo MX's are on.

The tires look and feel agressive. I have the 205/50's. The grip is way better than the 712's. Definately 2 thumbs up with me. They are cheap and they perform well. I had the Bridgestone Potenza RE71 and the Kuhmo 712's before. I rate the MX's with the Potenza minus the high prices.

Im having slight rubbing problems with one side though because they are fatty tires similar to the Falken Azeni. Other than that...it gets my approval.

p.s. Jon, according to the MX's the treadlife is 220. Not too shabby...then again..there's no standard.

my azeneis lasted for a damn good long while. over a year.
i'd put my money on them.

www.vulcantire.com <--- sells 'em for $65 for the 15's, and they are based out in PA so shipping is like over night.
