Default tinting tail lights?

i was wondering if it were okay to tint the 99-00 civic hatchback tail lights. (the white part of it)... just to you a slliiiighhtt tint to make the white part look gray. could i just buy the tint and stick it on the outside? or would it fall of or something? or look crappy?

comments? suggestions?

there are a few ways to do it, u can either use a tint film (bought from a store), or you can spray tint them... I tried the film, and it didn't work out the way I wanted it to, plus I had to redo it every couple months, so i just went ahead and sprayed them...

here are some pics to show how the look varies in different light... plus it looks darker in the pics than it really is...

I've seen it done many ways. I've seen people put a film on the outside of their light. Spray the outside of the light with a paint, spray the inside of the light with paint, or even cut a piece of tint and stick it inside the light. How you do it is completely up to you, you could just try cutting a piece for the outside and seeing how it looks.

Since on the subject of tinting, can you use the film they sell al like Target on car window? Will it last for long period of time?

I want to tint my moonroof before summer but I don't want to look like a goof in front of the ladies if the tint peels and falls on my head.

From what I've seen, that stuff usually turns purple. If you do it right though, it shouldn't fall .
