there is something weird about this picture. it's a 98 with 99-00 headlight conversion. the thing is that the grille is chrome... which civics come with chrome grilles? 4-door?(just guessing). do they make a 99-00 model civic that has the grille attatched to the bumper stock?

sorry, i know its a stupid question. but that picture looks as if the bumper is attatched to the grill. and i dont see too many pictures of civics with chrome grilles.

another question... if that IS a 4 door civic front, would the type r lip or si lip fit it?

 

The picture is deceiving, the chrome grille isn't actually attached to the bumper, it's just part of the grille, same as the non-chrome one. The grilles between all 99-00 civics are interchangable.

And the type-r and si lip will fit on any 99-00 front bumper.

 

errrrrrr its probably a front end from a 4dr/sedan
those came with chrome grills
and yes the lip will fit
all 6th gens hatch/coupe/sedan share the same front bumper

 

i believe that the late 6th gen (99-00) hatches came with the chrome grill as did the 4door version

and what makes you say that the car is a 98 and has a 99-00 conversion? have you seen the car yourself? if so have you seen the interior?

its a grille off a 99-00 4dr civic,...if that is a conversion them he probably got the whole front end off a 99-00 4dr

 

the front bumper doesnt have the spots for the fog lights on the out side of the big grille.

 

It is a 98 with a 99-00 front end, you can tell because it looks like it still has the 98 hood. Also the chrome grill came on only 4 door 6th gens.

 

i think it has a full 99-00 front end conversion
the headlights and bumper are pretty flush as well as the hood
also if you look at the picture, it does have the side grills for the fogs, if it didnt the center grille would go out further to the sides
