Could be a lot cheaper if you do a homemade turbo kit (provided that you install it yourself)... $900 maximum.

its just the truth, theres no reason for the hating. i look to the members on H-A for their wisdom, not for them to tell me what to do. If you read my posts that would be evident. Also, forced induction is not an aesthetic upgrade, so yes i do in fact want what is better. There is room for personal preference on modifications that are for looks and that are seen, but when it comes to my engine, i want whats going to make it faster safely and still be attainable when considering price. :joshers:

Get the turbocharger, I think that you will be much happier with the power gain and the tuning ease with it rather than the super imo

why would you "need" a 3 in" exhaust for a turbo and would not need a bigger exhaust for the superchanger. both would benifit. internals would be the same for both. what i mean is that if you need to switch your internals for say 12 psi then you need to switch them regardless of what type of FI you use. superchagers take more power to make power, ie parasitic losses. i would say go with the turbo. it takes more knowledge to set it up properly, because it is easier to pump too much boost, or miss match components, but once you learn more it will give you much more in the long run.
