Crower Stage 2 Cam (D16)

im still running stock valvetrain with my stage one but i would definitely recommend an upgrade if you get stage 2. you dont want to have floating valves.
as far as comparison of zex and crower both cams for the SOHC had very good reviews. just an FYI zex offers 2 different cams in general for the sohc vtecs, 1 is for the Z6 and one is for the Y8, but crower's vtec cam is ground for the Y8 but is interchangeable with the Z6 but recommend an adjustable cam gear with it on a Z6, i think the cam timing difference is half a tooth. about 5 degrees, i think?

you have to run better springs and retainers for the zex street strip cam as well, but not for the milder version. Stock springs on D16s are actually not that shabby, but if ur going to do nitrous or a turbo you need some more spring pressure.

Groupbuy is the cheapest place I have found the crower cam.

Did you dyno your car before and after? If so, how much increase in hp was there?
