Default 94 Honda Civic EX vs 94 Honda Accord EX...Better buy?

Hello all,

I posted this same message on hondahookup.com, but wanted to get more opinions...

I am in the process of looking for a used vehicle and was wondering what you all think is a better buy, a 94 Civic EX or a 94 Accord EX and why....Some of my concerns are performance, reliability and gas mileage..

thanks!!

-fro

p.s. I was also wondering, and this may be a n00b question, but the 94 and newer EX Accords are all VTEC right??? Or am I way off on that one...

then go with teh civic, weight is everything when it comes to racing, just take a look at the mugen nsx it's 500hp outruns the 1000-1200 hp supras and skylines in the jgtc

Reliability: their both Hondas, man.
Mileage: yawn, both good.
Performance: you can mod a Civic, tons of parts new/used available. Modding an Accord: harder, and WHY?

I may do some mods after I get the car, but they would not be anything big....prob a CAI or something...I'd do the exaust but I don't like the way they look/sound...

so stock vs stock which is better??

I'v also noticed trying to find an Accord EX is alot easier then finding a Civic EX....There were about 4 Accord EX's in the paper this last weekend and only one Civic EX.......An ad for a Civic EX ran Friday, called the guy up around 10AM on Saturday and the car was already sold! ;/

I don't know....eBay motors, there are tons of Civics out there. Most of us on here probably prefer the looks and feel of a Civic over Accord. I certainly hope you're looking at 2DR for either model....

its 500hp because that's where regulation restrict it.. the rest of the cars are 500 also..
