The only problem I could see is the width. I have a set of civic seats in my beater sol (sold the sols seats to fund the turbo project) and they are a bit wider, and it hits the console...

I've had a bad experience. For a year, I've had GSR leather seats in my 95 Sol. They sat too high. I couldnt stand them. The rails didnt line up and instead of spending money on new Del Sol rails from Honda, I drilled holes into the frame and bolted them in. It worked great, but I didnt like how high up I sat. I sold them to a user from Clubsi.com and got his stock del sol seats and put them back in. I'm new to this website and this is actually my first post. If you want to see my Del Sol, I'll provide a link. It's a 95 Si, but I dropped a B18 motor in her (GSR head/Type R block). I'm saving up for Toda 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and a Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust system.

Jasons 95 Del Sol Hybrid

I need to lower it with some Tein coilovers. After that I'm going to be beefing up the internals with some Toda Spec B VTEC killer camshafts and cam pulleys. Check out their products at www.todaracing.com . They make GREAT stuff!

I think part of the reason the del sol seats are low is the rails. If you had used the del sol rails, i bet it would've been a bit lower than the GSR's.

Nice car. I'm jealous of your engine. Just a question. Wouldn't it be more benefitial to have the Type-R head and GSR block? Or even just the whole Type-R engine?

yes, but its a long story and I'm paying out of my ass to pay the loan for it. Bottom line ... don't buy from Canada because you can't sue unless you go to a Canadian court when you get sent a bullshit motor.

HOWEVER, I ended up with the Type R compression and the GSR head and ecu hitting VTEC at 4400 rpm (a little faster than the Type R) so I think I got a good deal ...

I had some a few weeks ago, but sold them to a guy off Clubsi.com ... and he gave me his stock del sol seats back. They sit WAY too high, unless you change the rails like we said. I dont think they're worth it personally. Well .. actually just not the leather - especially in FL.
