Put new Axxis pads and new $20 rotors on the car yesterday. HUGE difference. Was running nissin pads. Like the axxis better. Front's were $39, back's $49. Running the metal masters with powerslots on the back. Doing gsr swap up front later and doing the same as the rear.

Pads Are finally in yo!! :woowoo:
I haven't done any hard braking on them yet. Gonna break them in for another week... but these pads definitly bite harder then oem.
Will see how they do next week when I take the curvy
scenic drive down to Stinson Beach.... if it doesn't rain.

I myself was having the same questions as in this thread, I contacted Andy at cobaltfriction.com, on reccomendation from several honda-tech.com members. He had this to say (reposted with permission)
Now he is a commercial site, so he may/may not be biased as to what he has in stock, but honda-tech members really seemed to endorse him.

Regarding your inquiries:
The Axxis Ultimate is an excellent high-performance street compound. It
has/is:
(1) good cold performance
(2) rotor friendly with good wear rates
(3) low noise level
(4) 50% more fade free than OE
(5) 20% greater braking torque than OE
The other Nissin/AEM brake pads you mention would be a very slight
upgrade from OE, frankly, and thus we do not sell those brake pads.
The Axxis Ultimate has a list price of $55 (assuming Coupe or Sedan,
yes?) for the front axle. Your Honda-Tech.com discount is 10%.
For rotors, I recommend using the G3000-spec Premium Grade Rotors that
we carry, as we have found these to be at least as good, and better in
some fitments, than the Brembo OE rotors.
