Default if anyone ever asks about mirrors (JDM)

"will 5th gen JDM mirrors fit on my car"

the answer is a resounding, "no"

unless, like me, you and McGuyver are distant cousins:

basically you need to redrill the door on both sides with two new 1/4" holes, remove all the mirror mounting bolts, sand down their mounts, and one needs to be sanded down about 1/4", also one of the bolts needs to be signifigantly shortened on the mount end in order for it to not poke through the back of the mirror.

I found this annoying.

it also seems as though DX hatches didnt come with the mirror harness than their EX trim counterparts would have...but thats next weeks projects, right now i am waiting for the paint bill after having these colour matched. (it should be obvious from the pictures they are needing a refinish job, anyway)

Enoy the rest of the pics, more added later

my guess is that would be like 6000000000x easier

JDM mirros have remote control like the EX do, also they have another button that allows for remote folding. 6th gen mirrors dont fold from the factory, and these have a different look to them.

oddly theyre about 4x heavier than the stockers, but i think its worth it.

also as far as style:

Well, I guess I will be the first to ask...

Why didn't you just buy 6th gen JDM mirrors, instead of the 5th gen?

You wouldn't have that big hassle of trying to modify them.

are you sure you remembered to take off the old mirrors before you put on the new mirrors?
