My buddy has a b18c in his cx hatch and it is something fierce, it runs high 13's with mild boltons, i have the b18c in my coupe and am hoping for mid 14's. Go with the b18c:thumbup:

Default What's up?

B18C1 is probably the best all rounded engine. The B16A has a strong top end, but the smaller displacement means less torque. Below 5000 rpm, it will feel very similar to a D16 (same torque curves). The B18B is a good choice, it will probably feel faster during daily driving, more torque means you don't have to rev the engine out to get it going, just better low end response. The B18B just doesn't have the top end afforded by a VTEC system though. The B18C1 gives you both, with 100,000+ mile reliablity too. Mine's actually for sale (hint hint). Ha ha. Seeya.
