bmx, if you want a clutch with more grip get a Exedy Sport clutch. They're not any harder on the leg but they are a lot harder on your wallet.

I was looking at one of those to replace my nasty 6puck because it is just HORRIBLE to drive on the streets wtith a 6puck.

Crucial, did it hold slightly better than stock?

yeah, ended up tearing up my second gear...after i installed in and did the mileage on it, i decided to punch it, car wasnt use to grip like that, and second gear is gone now.

guess my tranny was weak, but with a old slipping clutch it could handle the abuse, but it cant now...next, rebuilt my tranny

The Exedy stock replacements don't hold any harder than stock. They are stock. Daikin Clutch (Exedy's parent company) makes Honda's OEM clutches.

:werd: I don't know if crucial thinks I'm talking shit too but I installed this clutch in my car. It doesn't really grab much better than stock if at all. It might have felt a little better to crucial (and to me) simply because his old clutch was worn, but it shouldn't be much different than slapping a new OEM clutch in.

However, I do agree with crucial in that it's a perfectly fine clutch for many peoples' applications. My brother has an ACT clutch (street disc with extreme pressure plate), and it's a leg workout.

Igo4bmx and Cashis EG8, if your cars are pretty much stock or only mildly modified, the Exedy standard clutch will be fine. And I can imagine that it'd be more comfortable to drive around with than a 6 puck.

i installed an organic exedy performance clutch part #08-800B. it says it holds 32% over stock. we'll it holds way more than that with not too much more pedal pressure. i have a 2000 si with cams....numerous bolt ons and a 75 shot and this thing still grabs like a champ. i think i paid around $250 from clutchcityonline.
