Now thats a funny statement. Carbon fiber is a completely different material and nothing like fiberglass. I have worked with both and can tell you that their qualities and properties are completely unalike. And carbon fiber was originally used as a weight saver and not for looks. The only reason it looks good is the clear coat they put on it. I dont know of any places for pics but if done right it will look exactly like another body piece that has been painted. If im not mistaken F-1 bodies are completely carbon fiber as well as Adam Saruwatari's NSX. You can get all kinds of pics of those painted. Go with it if you like it.

And because you have been sitting here giving everyone your a$$hole opinion and talking $hit the whole time makes you a great almighty member? Would you care to elaborate and explain what info I disclosed was incorrect? Or are you just opening your mouth and verifying what people are speculating about yourself?

and fiberglass is not the "same stuff" as carbon fiber. same principle, entirely different material. thats like saying plastic and metal are the same thing cuz theyre shaped the same or used the same way...they are NOT.
CF is much lighter than Fiberglass, any boat owners also know that fibreglass tends to be much heavier than aL or sometimes even steel.
paint your CF hood, youre proly looking at maybe a lb in paint at most. The thing that will cost you the most lbs is filler, if you need to bondo the pattern out you might as well go with fiberglass, because the weight increase will be rediculous.
