Default Headers

I'm looking at a Chikara header from Headman for my 94 civic EX, is that a good brand, or should I just go with DC headers?

You cant go wrong with DC. I would finish it off with an intake and exhaust.

Just skip it and save for a turbo or a swap.

That's very true. Most articles or shops that I read/talk to generally agree that a header on most Civic's don't really do much. I was looking into one from DC, but my friends at the shop even told me that I'd be wasting money. They do look cool though

A header is a good idea, just not for a stock d16. It isn't going to do shit on a d16.

The only header worth a shit from DC is the JDM 4-1. Even then it's garbage. People are ripping holes in them because they hang too low.

I'm waiting to get my OEM JDM ITR header w/ a skidplate. Nobody has them in stock.

The Chikara line of headers made by Heddman are ok. They're relatively cheap so there isn't as much room to complain. A couple things I noticed on a Chikara header for a non-civic:

-There are lots of splatters from sloppy welding.
-Unless you get the coated ones which are much more expensive, the black paint on them is really just for storage purposes. Expect it to burn off once you start the car. You can try painting it with high temp paint though...
