depending on the vehicle... you may see it slanted to help keep the piping as straight as possible all the way through..

Default What's up?

Slanted up or slanted sideways (not straight out). Slanted sideways may give you a little better straight flow but it will be nothing that you would notice performance wise. I have a feeling it might be the next big look though. Does look kind of cool. Slanted up mufflers are mostly for show. Might help with ground clearance but not to any big degree. Seeya.

Slanted mufflers will let you take a bend out the exhaust. You won't see that much of a difference.

As for ground clearance it f**king sucks. I have one on my hatch. It's a custom system with a magnaflow muffler (canister, 7" around, 4" inch tip). I had them angle/slant it to my liking but the ground clearance is sh!t. I've hit it a few times but I don't mind, it looks wicked. Pics soon.

I think that it looks good if done tastefully. It's just a suptle slant, not a ****ing 45 degree angle. I assume just what the rest said though, it will help with ground clearance and keeping the piping as straight as possible.

Pictures are worth a thousand words.

Trust me when I say ground clearance sucks. Drop is around 2.5"
