Umm Pull the old one off...put the new one in...simple
Why do you have to let it cool down??

A spark plug that is under-torqued will not be fully seated on the cylinder head, or if it's over-torqued
it's not that simple to install a spark plug is it?

It's super easy to install spark plugs, I did mine the other day for the first time, took me less than 10mins:

Spark plugs 101:
Gap the new ones.
Take the old ones out with a magnetic spark plug bit.
Screw the new ones in.
