changed out old dis. for new one...

Default changed out old dis. for new one...

and the car turns on now but its really rough and boggy...almost like a miss fire, but im pretty sure my wires are correct. what should i do know, i know my timing isnt perfect on the money but im not floating a vavle or anything so i want to go beyond that point..what should i check now?

i would make sure you are fireing at tdc on cyl #1 then check the timeing on the dis. check to see if the whole dis houseing isnt loose, there is 3 bolts in it. and re check your wires and make sure there hooked up rite.

Make 100% sure you have the wires on right. Maybe replace your spark plugs. And TIME IT!

Even if you're sure your wires are on right, you may have one that isn't pushed in all the way. Make sure they're snug.

ummm... double check your wires, check the order and adjust your timing before you ask what's wrong

Patience, dumbfugg!
Make sure you didn't flip hte part that goes into the cam shaft. If that's flipped, it may still run, but it'll run like a lawn mower.

ill try flipping it first.

wires have about 1000 miles on them.

same with the plugs.

whats funny is, i unhooked the number 4 wire and the car sounded the same...i know there is a spark from it b/c i got shocked.

If it sounds the same with the one pulled off, it's gotta be flipped. Do it, and see what happens. Can't hurt anything to try.
