Call Tein USA direct. They are nice guys.

As far as I remember all but the SS need ITR LCA's or JDM EG LCAs for the rear. Only the SS has the fork, whereas the HA have the eye. And as far as HA's go...they are pretty much discontinued for the EG.

That is why everyone is going for the SS. No need for JDM EG LCA's or the ITR LCA. Straight bolt on for USDM spec cars.

For the HA you need the JDM LCA's to fit.
I also believe that they have slightly softer spring rates and no tender springs.

Yeah supposedly HAs (springs) are slightly stiffer and also have helper springs.

I've got HAs for an EK sitting in my room. I bought them for EG and just had to shave down the lca bushing in the rear a bit to make them fit. They do not make them anymore for civics, but I picked them up for $940 shipped. I just took them off since I wasn't happy with the ride quality, but now I"m having second thoughts about selling them. A local guy is picking them up from me on firday for 900, hehe.

Might I also add that Tein is also coming out with a new "frugal" coilover w/ no dampening adjustment. It's suppose to be an entry level coilover that is going to be cheaper than the SS.

i think most JDM suspensions comes with softer spring rate. most of them come standard with 6kg (13.2lbs) for the front and 4kg (8.8lbs) for the rear. the ride quality for the one i have the tanabe sustec pro ss has that spring rate. at first i thought that might now work... but when u set it at 1 in the front and 3 in the rear... then try launching.. it just goes. and on cornering... no screaching sound of the tires. the ride is still comfy like stock but performs like a mofo!

Wow, I wonder how much it'll be. I remember when HA was supposed to be the entry level line...

Thanks.. I have read unless using the SS series coilovers, 89-'91 Civic/CRX, 92-95 Civic's and 94-01 Integra's must use the JDM rear lower control arms..

I wanted some driving impressions. I had the chance to see how they were in a friend's IS300.

That isn't that cheap.. I found a deal for less than that..but for my applications, I figured a full coil-over system is not neccessary --I just picked up something else.

Well, the SS retails for about 1k, I think the newer one is about 750.

Funny thing is that I think Tokico has their own brand of coilovers that offer adjustable dampening and they sell theirs for 899.

Ahh, I remember seeing them on GBC for something like $850. Then again that was GBC and if those were special prices, I might have been thrown off.

And yeah, I've got to say, Tein is cool and all but for me personally, if I can get a reputable set up that's got more features for less money, I'm all for it.
