egt is an exhaust gas temperature gauge, it gives you the temp of the exhaust gas and (suposedly) to people who know what those numbers mean are a great tuning tool, i considered getting one BUT i have yet to find anyone who can really explain the readings well to me....

a high egt reading indicates lean, lower indicates rich.

is the egt gauge more accurate then the air fuel gauge.

yep it's not hard...and yes the EGT is WAYY more accurate than an air/fuel gauge, at least the autometer one. But the best way to find out for sure is go dyno somewhere with wideband 02
