Well, what is the sponsorship based on? A little more info would help out . Being that they do both performance and mobile audio, are they looking for a car to compete in just car audio shows, import shows (Hot Import Nights, ect..) or do they expect you to tackle some racing? Every sponsorship is different. They might be giving 10% above cost, free labor on installs, free cheapie parts (pedals, short shifters, altezza tails, ect.) Plus, you don't even have a car yet? I can totally understand your excitement, but if anything, it is going to be the sponsor who you should be asking this of. Like I said, a little more info bro

Congrats though. Sponsorship can be a good thing.

well soltaker you were right i was caught up in the moment and didnt ask what kind, yesterday i went up there and asked them what kind and its just a 10%-50% off free labor and the joy of having their sticker on our cars, so i dont think i will drive around and advertize their name when they arent really doing **** for us, the import scene is alright in kansas we set up races once a weekend. Last weekend we had about 50-60 cars show up. We met up and went in two groups to the spot and a sheriff followed us out there and no one knew, he stopped a prelude and the rest of us took off going between 105 and 130 on I-70, met up and a truck stop, no one really raced though!

Yeah I understand how one can get all whipped up. A lot of shop will do that kind of "sponsorship" Heh, I personally wouldn't even call that a sponsorship. I would think of it as more of an exclusive discount

You ever go to KCIR? Unless things have changed, they have drags every Friday night, and it's like $10 to run all night night. Been there twice myself and had some fun.

na never been there yet, why pay when you dont have to! lol no we just go around town telling people we know we can trust not to "defect". I want a "real" sponser but eveyone around here dont have the money or are little corner shops so i think im gonna to to kc and topeka and see whats up...as of right now superstreet gave us a fee subscription, honda tuner gave us free tag holders with our name imprinted on them, and supposedly greddy and aem were going to give us free decals and down the road sponser a few of us but im not getting my hopes to high on that one....

its probably easier to get a sponsorship if you already have a car that turns heads or with potential. You wont get too far if you show up in your stock civic asking for free stuff...

it does help to have a head turner first but your best bet to get a sponser ship from a major company is in late dec early jan when the new budget is being arranged.. call the pr person and tell them what you are looking for send them all kinds of pics of the car and tell them what shows and or races you attend,, 2 of the guys from our shop got it that way one from b and m the 240 and one from nx the miata to se them go to the site www.hybridynamics.com and no my car is not up yet

well see everyone now days is about looks more than speed that ive seen lately anyway, i love import looks dont get me wrong but i would rather have a badass motor, then worry about looks because you all know how it is when a car has a kit, rims etc... you expect them to have a nice set up....like i posted up earlier why look good at looking bad i would way rather have respect because my car is somthing rather than looks... but then you would get into the whole sponsership thing, so i dont really know... The first thing i will do to my car though is rims and a t3 turbo set up......
