Default Changed back brakes, now no brakes at all

Hi. I'm at wits end on this one.
I cleaned and inspected my drum brakes, and during the cleaning I took off all the springs and had to lube the adjuster screw. When I was putting everything back together, I inadvertently pushed too hard on one of the shoes, and the wheel cylinder popped out on one side, and a whole bunch of brake fluid came out. I put everything back together including the wheel cylinder, and now the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor, and the brakes barely work. I tried pumping the brakes several times, but it didn't make a difference. When I tried to drive it to the end of my driveway, it didn't even feel like the front brakes were working at all. I've spent 6 hours trying to fix this. Anyone have any ideas/solutions? When a wheel cylinder comes apart does it ruin it?

P.S. Yes I checked brake fluid

You got air in your brake lines. You need to bleed the lines.

I figured it out today. Not only did I have a whole lot of air in my lines, but my wheel cylinders were bad. Replaced the cylinders, ($15 each) flushed the system, and everything's as good as new.

Thanks for the tip

yup, pretty much any time a bunch a brake fluid comes out, there's air getting in. Just bleed them and you're good to go.
