Brakes tech question
I recently got my brake pads replaced by the dealer and ever since it seems like i have to jam down on the brake pedal to stop. took it back and they said that there's a leak in the master cylinder and it has to be replaced.....$200 for the part and $100 for labor.
Does this sound like the correct fix for my problem or am i getting screwed? i'm not too familiar with the braking system.

if you have a garage i personally suggest in investing in some socket and wrenches, a hydraulic lift..... you can change the oil yourself, even the brakes. on a civic they are extremely easy to do. and we are always here to help you took me 40 minutes to change mine.... but i think one of the calipers has gone bad

The Honda dealer told me my master cylinder wa sgoing bad about 80,000 miles ago. I had some slop in the pedal but then i changed the rear pads and the slop disappeared. So, they were just trying to get to me to buy a new master cylinder. Bastards
