I run it because it's high octane (turbo setup). You will get worse milage so you will not save any money switching over.

I'm with lance, unless you are looking for effectively cheap "race" gas for a high octane setup, the pros do not outweigh the cons.

I think it would be cool if said E85 convert stuck his face out for everyone to slap him as they walked by, and maybe occasionally he could slap himself..... drive that car by low hanging branches so as to be slapped by prickly twigs... that sort of thing.

No offense intended seriously, I just really HATE E85. I don't think it will work, not by any stretch of the imagination, not for the U.S. The government has wasted time on it because of political favor doing or whatever it's called and there are so many more viable options that should've been developed decades ago.

It's impractical and pointless for a DD, but countless people have proven that it's the bees knees for a track car.

What's your setup?

In that case just get some 1000cc injectors and tune with crome. The rest of the fuel system doesn't need anything special. I do suggest you use a motes 2timer to run one map for e85 and one map for low boost on gasoline.

I was thinking of using some 1600cc injectors.
e85 usings 35% more fuel.

1000cc should be enough for around 400whp so 1600cc would leave some headroom.

on regular gas, 750s should be plenty for 400whp. on E85, 1000cc injectors and a raised fuel rail line presure to 50PSI will be fine. if you are running a Walbro 255 pump, that part is already done for you (mine read 49 psi with only the walbro installed)
