hey everyone i was installing my full cat-back exhaust (Apexi N1) and my catalytic converter bolts wont fit in the bolts holes to the mid pipe. They are too short. So i was wondering if i should just get an aftermarket converter, the same oem, clamp it, or get some one to weld it for me?? Thanks!!!

dont have it welded on but maybe get some new bolts that are longer so it will bolt on.

Are you sure you have the midpipe the right way? Make sure you bolt on the mid pipe first then the exhaust section. It's a tight fit.

I just bolted on an Apex exhaust, its a real tight fit.

Do the mid pipe to cat first then mount the muffler and second and the middle section last. It should bolt right up unless your stock hangers have been altered in such a way that it throws off your exhaust

but dont get it welded.

yeah i just kinda got some C clamps and clamped it on. i dont know if it is leaking because i cant hear it but it sounds pretty nice. i think im just gonna get a new cat because the bolts on the cat are made on it and either way are to short.

my fren just ran into the same problem but his studs on his cat was stripped. He went to the muffler shop and had the studs pressed out, and had new ones put in. It cost $40 bux plus to take out the cat from the car and reinstalling it. Just an idea if you dont want to buy another cat.
