Default sound when letting out the clutch out too fast!!

hi, i have a 98 civic ex coupe, with apexi catback, and it is secure with a heavy duty mount by the muffler to hold it in place. So the exhast can barely move. When I rev up to around 3500rpm, and shift, i heard this high pitch sound and if i let the clutch out faster, it would make a weird sound. Could these sounds be coming out of my exhast system?

thx

1st at 3500rpm you hear a high pitch sound, correct? Do you have a CAI?
2nd what makes a weird sound? the clutch, at 3500rpm?

It does the same thing as well with mine and I have the same car as you 98 ex. I force myself to drive like an old lady to perserve the life of my engine and tranny and I dont switch gears fast. I guess your problem is standard.

Your funny

...but seriously, the hissing sound is prolly your CAI sucking air. If your A/C is on, the sound is more definate.

as for the 'gron' sound from your clutch :dunno:
I assuming it's a std tranny so why don't change the tranny fluid, check your clutch fluid and check your shift linkages.

but the sound sounds like something is vibrating tho.

I changed the tranny fluid when i did my major service from hodna, and how do i check the shift linkages. by the way, i have a dc short shifter.
