Finally gonna lower my car (about time :oh: ) (ATTN: 6GENCIVIC or SAN ANTONIO peps)
My spring should be in the mail in the next few days. Used Areospeed's, courtisy of Upgraded Si. For $60, I can't complain.
I searched the forum and found the tools I'll need (spring compressor, all sorts of wrenches, jacks, a case of beer, and lots of time).
Are there any tricks to putting them on? Anything that makes it less painful? Never messed with the suspension on either of the honda's I owned, so first hand experience is weak.
Also, should I do the washer rear camber mod? The drop is about 1.6"
PS, any San Antonio Peeps (particularly 6GenCivic), anyone with install experience? I want to do this myself, but I want someone with first hand experience to be there and help me (the beer's on me  )

you need a 10mm, 12mm, 14mm deep socket, and a 17mm,a hammer, 2 jacks, one for jacking up the car obviously and the other for-----its easier for the rear when you are putting the suspension arm back to the brake caliper. and YOU BETTER use the spring compressor on the stock springs/struts, unless you want to shoot out your neighbors window out. you also need a pair of vice grips to hold the rod from moving around, use cardboard around the rod then clap it on so you dont scuff up the rod, which will blow the strut if scratched.

this mod is very simple. at first it'll take a while but after a while you'll get quicker.
hmm some help...
1) make sure you have a floor jack...the stock jack can be used to help lift the arms into place when bolting the shocks back up.
2)have some sort of seperator and pen&paper and write notes or draw diagrams (don't lose any pieces, don't put things on backwards)
3) Im not sure about coupes but for hatches if you simply remove the back speakers its easier to access the rear struts then pulling the whole interior out.
4) be careful and take your time...I almost lost my finger tip being stupid and phucking with the jack while the car wasn't seated just right. which brings up my last point
Hold off on the beer and ganja (in your case crack cocaine) until the install is over. If your sh!t faced critical thinking will be impared.
email me @ skubb_life@hotmail.com if you get stuck half way through or ask here...someone will be able to help.
