Your first mod should be me in your passenger seat :exnbp:

But I'd go with the usual springs/strut combo, camber kit, alignment then exhaust. That'd be the first few things I'd do.

good spring and shocks combo, Neuspeed Race over Koni Yellow is my set up, rides very nice.

Then an intake and exhaust combo then I'd save for a swap

SexyCivicChic, welcome to the board!
For springs, I suggest the Eibach (www.eibach.com) Pro-Kit. I have them on the OEM shocks, and I am very happy with them. According to Eibach, they lower the 1996-2000 Civics 1.5 inches in the front and 1.3 inches in the back.
For exhaust, I suggest the DC Sports (www.dcsports.com) cat-back. I have it, and I love it. First of all, the entire exhaust, not just the muffler, is made of polished stainless steel. That is important because that means that it will never rust. Second, it provides noticeable gain at high RPM. Third, it has a deep sound.

Thanks for all the help guys, I have to go to work but maybe later tonight I'll try to get my pic up!

For the Eibach pro kit will I need a camber kit? Or will it align without a kit?
