With the core (trade in old one) it cost me ~$65.00 for a new driver side axle at NAPA.

It is very possible to do the boot yourself. You just need the proper tool. HINT: Autozone has a ****ty tool, hahahaha.

HINT: You want to know how NOT to bust the lower ball joint boot? Look at this, you'll figure it out:

do you just take the old one to the any car parts store and they will give you money for it when you buy a new one?

Default CV joint booties

i thought the cv booties are only just a couple of bucks and are there to protect the cvjoints which once they, or it gets dirt in it,starts to fail. So the exercise is to replace the booties often enough to not have to do the cv joints. '
That being said are there not booties you can use that dont require removing the cvjoint to put on? Are they any good? Has anyone used them?
