Default Bullfrog cam on stock valvetrain

I bought a used bullfrog cam for a great price. I want to install it so bad, but I'm strapped for cash. I'd really like to get new valve springs and retainers, but there's no chance I'd be able to install those myself. I've looked over some literature and I'm sure I can install just the camshaft myself. Anybody run a Bullfrog cam on stock valvetrain? Gude/Zex/Bullfrog are all the same company I think. I don't want to run into valve-float. I don't plan on revving it past the stock redline for the time being. Decisions suck.

If you're not going past redline, then you have no need for new springs/retainers

What engine? Y8? Z6?

If it's either of those two, these guys can help.

It's a Y8. I e-mailed Gude and they sent some company info. They "extensively test their camshafts for high-rev applications on stock valvetrain". I guess I'll be installing the cam now.
