2000 Maintenance
I recently purchased a used 2000 Civic LX with only 5990 miles on it. It has about ten months left on the factory warranty. It went thru a dealer "certification" check prior to the sale, but I am wondering if there is anything else I should have done to this car to make sure it lasts another 7-10 years.
Since it had such low miles I wonder if this car was left for rot. What should I have checked or be on the lookout for ?
Thanks.

regular maintanance, change your oil when required, and do the recommended maintainance and you'll get 10 years easy....
You will probably want to change the oil, if it wasn't done as soon as you bought it. Also run a fuel system cleaner through a full tank of gas. That should be enough.

Mileage is correct. Story is it belonged to a retired man who probably went to Publix and back. Amazing. It works out to about 220 miles / month.
