converstion to RHD... ? USDM to JDM
Hey... Today i stumbled across quite a few good deals. Found a 96-98 ek hatch front clip for 4500 (yes with engine). And the guy was trying to talk me into buyin a whole JDM car... Said last month he got a 92-95 sir hatch and sold it for 3600... to a guy in washington and he converted his car into a RHD.
But he wasnt making much sense to me, i though you had to remove the firewall and replace it with the JDM one? he was saying theres cut outs for conversions already and you just have to punch/ cut yours out and then fill in the old hole in the fire wall... anyone know anything about full JDM conversions to USDM cars? I know in the long run it would be way cheaper if i could get a complete car witha (dismantle) title and convert the parts on to my current car...

yes you need to cut out your firewall and weld in the new one...what most people do it cut the car in half and weld on the front clip. might aswell import one from japan and flip the vin numbers..h: you didnt hear that from me.

yea... see the other thing the dude kept saying was... "im selling you the car as DISMANTLED" and "after you take it home, its up to you if you want to put the doors, wheels, fenders etc... back on" but its a non road title"... in which case... how would i sell my car without a vin #... or better yet sell my car for like 8 g.. and buy a totaly salvaged hunk for the vin... and then put that one on the jdm car?

you shouldnt get in trouble unless you try to sell this thing, cuz technically you are breaking the law, but whos going to care.
