I got the car back up a couple of weeks ago. I drove it around a little and found that I must have screwed up because the head gasket didn't seal properly. I found out because I was beating on it a little and saw my temps shoot up. Popped the hood and found coolant overflowing the reservoir. My temps never passed 220, that's hot but I'm not sure how bad. I threw a new gasket on wednesday and everything looked good and felt strong. When I left work today I noticed a blue cloud behind me. I stopped at a friends and revved it a little before I got out and checked while it was running. Nothing. No smoke. Looks fine. Visited for a while and was letting the car warm up while shooting the shit. We see some smoke. I revved a little, it's blue and smells like oil. Crap. Drive home and get out while the car is idling. I put my face right down by the exhaust and I can't see or smell a damn thing. It was smoking while warming up at my friends now it's running like a champ? What the hell? I see compression and leak down tests in my future :/
