It's been on my mind for a few weeks, with the prices of eg hatches so cheap why not go with the newer model? Don't get me wrong the CRX is small Light and can be made to go fast. But there is so many more parts out there for the eg it's making it hard each day. Eg's have a back seat, more room in the engine bay, Batt is behind the shock tower thats cool, and it has a cleaner smoother body with less moldings so painting would be easier. Well if any body has made a switch like this please tell me what you think.

 

First, what are your goals for the car? If it's just a daily driver and you plan on doing some moderate mods to it, then it would make sense to get a newer, more attractive eg or even ek.

 

I'd go for the EG any day, more of everything(space in engine, interior). I used to own a crx in high school for my first car. I only could do so much to it and parts wasn't as easy to find. That's why I went with a eg, I found parts that was compatible with that body style like for example the DC2 dashboard fits perfect into the eg w/ some modding to the doors. part's was like dime a dozen, so its cheaper. Its your choice man.

 

Do both, they're cheap.

If you need the back seat, go for it. Otherwise crx > * I think from a performance standpoint, the crx is the best fwd platform out there.
