Default 1999 civic grille

ok i got a 99 civic ex the other day and i wanna remove the inner part of the grill so i can either leave it open or put some mesh in. how do i take that out?

cut it out or use a razor blade and a torch for a smoother cut.. have the same car and did that project the other week... doesn't take long at all

alright thanks, i assume i would do the same to cut out the blades in the front bumper as well? also would that effect engine temp, because isnt the purpose of a grille not only to be looks but also to direct the air into the radiator in a certain way and therefor keeping the engine cooler?

If you want a mesh grille, you could just put it over your existing grille. No need to cut it really.

Buy a new one, pretty much all cost and look the same. You can buy them with or without the mesh.
